Rare prmssk Posted June 14, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2023 I thought all bookings on Galapagos ships included Wi-Fi so I’m not sure why you would pay for a separate cellular at sea plan.

Celebrity's website lists unlimited wifi as a general amenity for all three of their Galapagos ships. There really isn't a way to buy extras on these cruises. They are meant to be all-inclusive.
Jellal Posted June 15, 2023 #8 Share Posted June 15, 2023 Has anyone used cellular at sea? Is it faster than the standard WiFi you can purchase on the ship?

I have looked at it but never used it because the amount of data that comes with the plan (at least when I considered it) was so incredibly small and the charges for going over that data limit very high. So read the fine print on how much data is included.

I had not sent texts using AT&T (my carrier) on Celebrity ships. I use WhatsApp (which uses WiFi) since I think there is data charge if I use AT&T. You may want to check with AT&T about that. In addition, although I do not use FaceBook, I know that it can be sent via WiFi (which the ship is equipped) from your cell phone. See you soon. Safe travel. --Terry On 6/14/2023 at 5:40 PM, NutsAboutGolf said: For suites only Thanks so much. Will follow suit.
