Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted June 15, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 15, 2023 Was the whipped butter real butter or a butter oil mix?

edspec Posted June 15, 2023 #7 Share Posted June 15, 2023 Yes! I hate whipped butter. That is an excellent change.
teknoge3k Posted June 15, 2023 #8 Share Posted June 15, 2023 The bad part is, they will still probably be frozen. Nothing like trying to put a frozen brick on a lukewarm piece of bread. 9
asalligo Posted June 15, 2023 #9 Share Posted June 15, 2023 Love that they are switching to real butter. Margarine has been proven to be much worse for us than just good old fashioned butter and butter just tastes better. 6

Rare nancy1031 Posted June 16, 2023 #18 Share Posted June 16, 2023 years ago on my 1st cruise, when a tablemate went to spread butter on the roll, it flipped across the table and landed in a water glass- we saw it happen but the owner of the water glass didn't - i can still see the look on her face when she went to drink the water!!!!!

That's also not true, we used to give our cat Country Crock growing up to deal with hairballs. She ate it just fine and it worked to help her pass hairballs. I don't eat margarine but that's just because I prefer butter. I don't try to come up with all these silly reasons why I don't eat it.

geckoaz Posted June 16, 2023 #21 Share Posted June 16, 2023 My fear is the pats of butter/margarine wii be rationed. One per guest? Ever try to get extra butter? Good luck. Alas.
JoeMo Posted June 16, 2023 #22 Share Posted June 16, 2023 On the Mardi Gras and Jubilee we would sit down in the MDR and set the (wrapped) butter pats on our plate hoping they softened before the bread arrived. Our little game which became a small part of the Great Adventure called cruising.

I didn't keep count but if was frozen more times than soft this cruise. As stated: hard to spread on their breads and toasts. But I liked it better than the whipped.
