Rare Plato123 Posted August 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Mention was made of this some time ago. Is it still operating, and how and when do you find out if you can access it? I am asking as our next cruise out of FLL will be in a full suite and I will need to know if the hotel to cruise port shuttle will know where to drop us off. Also it would be nice to know what facilities and serviced are available in the lounge.
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted August 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Departed FLL in July. No suite offsite lounge was offered to me. Hotel shuttle took us to port. Wove through the queue to get to the suite/Elite Lounge. First to board (after in-transit). No escort. Ordinary boarding experience.

I kind of doubt those FLL shuttle services that run around the hotels, or the hotel-branded ones, do anything but go back and forth to the piers. We don't book suites, but I too am curious to know if this off-site check-in location is still in operation. When they launched it, we had a couple of reports and then crickets. One would think some suite guests would mention it. OTOH, this is a very quiet time of year for Princess out of Port Everglades. There are no current cruises. I'd look for this service to start up again later in the Fall.

Crown Cruiser Posted August 18, 2023 #8 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Were you invited once you checked in or did you receive an invitation prior to getting to the port?

It comes prior because the check-in is an offsite location on 17th St. Near Terminal 2.

Any chance it's in that office building on 17th housing the Princess Medallion folks, right across from the Renaissance hotel?

Anyone else get to do this? Did the already stop this? I got a call the day before my cruise for the invite. They take your luggage and bring it to the ship separately. Then when it's time to board they take you over in a shuttle and you are escorted through the check-in lines. The best part is you can book the Sanctuary from the lounge. I don't know if they are still doing it. It was only 35 people that they invited.
Sox Fan Cruiser Posted August 19, 2023 #17 Share Posted August 19, 2023 I am hoping that they still do this. Anyone?!? In a penthouse suite in December.
