This should make embarkation much more pleasant than what we experienced last July.

Crap-the link to the story about the NEW terminal didn't post and I can't seem to make it.  I've posted a screenshot of the headline below. The picture I included originally above was what we experienced last July when they only had a small tent.

It looks like the new terminal will not be ready until 2025. Did the cruises this summer go out of the Skarfabakki Harbour location?

Yes - And in 2023 as well.  Here's a shot I took when we disembarked in Reykjavik on Viking Saturn this past June 21 (longest day of the year!).

At the end of July we rolled up at 11:35am with no one ahead of us and walked straight on after a quick ID check 😎

Unfortunately when we arrived on July 19, 2023 to embark at about that same time, we faced the line I showed earlier.  Once we made it inside the tent it didn't take very long but our friends who came directly from the airport went directly aboard at 10 am or so.

SWEEET! Congrats! Timing is every thing!  You can't plan what you experienced, so you really lucked out.
