I've booked a Casino Cruise on the Seashore and would like to know:

1.  What is YC and how does one get it.

2.  How does anytime dining work. Are there long lines.

3.  When does one get the Boarding Pass and luggage tags.

4.  Is smoking allowed in the casino, if so, does it get too smokey.

5,  Are the specialty restaurant worth the money.

6.  How does the ship compare to Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

I would appreciate any comments.

Yacht Club is a separate area on the ship that has its own restaurant , pool deck, lounge, etc.  you have to book it as a cabin category.

2.  If you booked YC or Aurea experience, you will have anytime dining.  You go to the separate restaurant whenever you want while it is open.  On Seashore I believe it is the Manhattan Restaurant.  YC has its own restaurant.

3.  Checkin, when you get boarding pass and luggage tags, is available 30 days before sailing.

4.  The main casino is open to the center of the ship and non-smoking.  There are also a lot of slots in the Sports Bar that are also non-smoking.  There is a room off of the sports bar that used to have a pool table but that was removed and it is now the smoking part of the casino, slots only.  Yes, it gets smoky.

5.  Whether the specialty restaurants are worth it is a personal choice.

6.  Many more international guests that Carnival, people dress better, not just in the evening.

To clarify about anytime dining, you have to have booked either the Yacht Club or Aurea experience. If you booked Bella or Fantastica, you will be assigned a set dining time, room, and table, which will be printed on your key card.

1 - If  you are on a casino comp, you can contact the casino department and they can give you a quote on the upgrade to the YC.  Make sure to do a mock booking on line prior to make sure that the upgrade is worth it.  Most of  the time it is but it is always good to check.  I have exclusively sailed MSC in the YC with a casino offer and upgrade and it is our preferred way to travel on MSC.

2- They recently tested some ships as no smoking I believe that has been changed back on most ships to be a section for smoking. I do not have specifics on the Seashore though.  When there was a smoking area it did get smoky in the casino.  The table area in my experience has always been non smoking.

Hi

1- YC is a separate area and class within MSC ships. Rooms have their own buttler, YC area has their own concierge, restaurants, buffet, bar and pool (and they can go to other areas in the ship). It is restricted to those guests only

Obviously price is quite different

2- You can buy a cabin with Bella experience, Fantastica experience, Aurea experience or Yacht club

>> Yacht club, you have your own restaurant and menu. You can go when you want

>> Aurea,  You can choose when to have dinner between 5:15 and 9:30

>> Bella and Fantastica. You will have always same table, waiter, restaurant and schedule. This is, you can choose among 5:15, 7:30 or 9:30   (this is, you cannot choose 8:30 for instance, either you choose 7:30 either 9:30)

The menu is the same for Aurea, Bella and Fantastica. It just change a fixed schedule of free schedule

3- 30 days before you can do a checkin.

You will receive, via app, a QR code on the embarkation day

4- Smoking is allowed only in one pub and partially near one pool  (AFAIK)
