Jewelry and Watches

Hi All,

We will be in here in Dec 2024 after having only been there once about 10-12 years ago.

I remember the shopping district being pretty good.  

Does anybody have any input as to pricing and legitimacy of the jewelry and watches here?

I may be looking at Breitling specifically and/or a nice piece of jewelry for my wife.

Are the prices competitive?  Any stores to stay away from (like diamonds intl)?

Just looking for any advice.

There are several watch shops along Front Street, including one that specializes in Breitling. From what I've seen, most are priced in US $ for cruise trade.  Little budging on prices. Not all models are in stock.  Key is to do your research before and have a good idea of what to expect vs in the US or Europe

Good advice from @crewsweeper.

Best to contact the Breitling head office, obtain contact details of their approved SM outlet.

Then exchange with the SM store on models and prices, but also consider local Tallahassee dealerships with regard to pricing.  But do think about a potential problem with the purchase, as taking it back to the place of purchase to resolve may prove problematic.

Peace of mind? Buy local

Addendum 

Know many Breitling dealerships do not discount.  But if they have other items, such as jewellery etc., then politely ask if one purchased “this watch”, would they offer a good discount another item.  Have found this “ask” to be successful.
