August 2024 Update HAL Dry Docks, Charters & Groups Onboard

Here is the latest update of 2024 for the Dry Docks, Charters & Groups information.

There has been some activity since the June update, so check your dates!  There are a few gaps in sailing schedules so I have included most of them as 'Possible Charter' or 'Possible Dry Dock' until more information can be found.

For any errors, I apologise in advance!

 

Thanks to those who help with the gathering of this information and as usual, if you can provide any information on upcoming Dry Docks, Charters or Groups, then please post to this thread and I will update the information in the next file.

Thank you for spotting and posting that a Travelrite Australian Group will be aboard the Nieuw Statendam 21 September 2024 – 05 October 2024 : Med Ancient Mysteries. We'll be sailing on that itinerary as well. We sailed earlier this year with one of their groups aboard and they were a pleasure to have around.

Thanks!   But what about my plans to book Nieuw Statendam to Canary Islands, Morocco Portugal from Rotterdam to Rotterdam April 20th, 2025 till May 4th 2025? And all who booked the TA ariiving in Rotterdam April 20th?    I hope it is chartered till March 29th?

Your plans are still good!  NSDM is chartered until April 5th and then immediately sails on the TA to Rotterdam and then on the Canarias cruise, embarking Dover on April 19th and Rotterdam on April 20th.  It was a great itinerary this year and a better one next year! Enjoy!

If I could find a source then I would!

Most of the groups and charters are on sale to the public and details are available with a bit of searching.  Private groups and charters are harder to find as they are not in the public domain.

Thanks Colin! , now I can book during our cruise next week on board NSDM.and not have the need to look for another nice cruise in spring 2025.  (Will you change the text in the Charter list?).

I missed that it is not a full charter, but a group on the cruise we wish to book.  Inspiration Live Like no One Else Cruise is with Ramsey.   Thanks VMax1700

Lenny,  this morning, with clearer eyes, I can see the problem.  It is a charter, but only for one week (22 March - 29 March) and not a five week charter, as shown on the list (22 March - 29 April) 🙄

I am concerned that the Rotterdam January 10-17 is a retrofit for Rudi’s to Morimoto.  The reason I don’t think it’s a charter is because when you go to the port Everglades cruise port schedule, on both January 10 or 17th there is no arrival or departure time for the Rotterdam. It is not listed at all.

Ok, but it has to arrive back from the December 29th Panama 12 day cruise, so PE is missing that information also for January 10th.

It is a charter!

Thanks for the info..   Any idea where the OOSTERDAM is going to dry dock in April?   We are booked on her for a 25 day cruise starting 19 April which is the last day of her dry dock...

has anyone traveled with this groupTravelrite Australia Group ?

Google shows this is a "bridge cruise" so would guess that its a generally quiet group but I wonder about the usual size of these groups and therefore which venues might be reserved/off limits.thanks

I believe it is a group arranged by an Australian Travel Agency.  They arrange cruise plus flights plus hotels etc. for the group.  I don't believe there is any other bond between the travellers.

and this group is arranged by that travel agency but is a theme group- bridge players- led by a bridge expert and they will have some times for "coaching" in the morning and playing in the afternoon on sea days and "if time allows" on port days. This is a port intensive cruise with only a couple of sea days so I am fairly certain there will not be much disruption (unless there are a lot more bridge players than I would anticipate 😁).

We cruised while a Travelrite Australia Group was aboard last winter. The group was sizeable, maybe 50 or 60, but they were very good as far as groups are concerned. We are happy to have them aboard on this sailing. Sometimes they occupied the meeting rooms, like Stuyvesant, but they were definitely no problem. Also, they often arranged their own independent excursions. We never had a problem using the main public areas, except maybe the Ocean Bar during Happy Hour...😀
