We drove to Galveston to board the Breeze for or 30th wedding anniversary. This was our first cruise as Platinum. Once we realized what the long line was for at port, we got out of it and boarded within minutes. We were in Spa cabin 12018 for both legs (loved the configuration of this room and it stayed cool). Our only complaint was that on the second leg there were kids allowed to cry and scream all night and run stomping through halls. We thought the spa area would be quiet; we were WRONG!  After having to complain to guest services, it did at least stop at night (we were not the only ones to complain). There were a lot of kids on the ship, but most were well behaved and well mannered (not the young teenager allowed to hump the floor in the plaza). We used the Thermal Suites everyday and they truly made all the difference for our cruise. Spa prices were higher on ship than what was posted online before we left. I am glad we prepaid our massages before getting on ship. Just an example I paid $279 for couple 50 minute stone massage  and on ship the price was $399. They do offer specials but my online prices were still cheaper.

We enjoyed the MDR when we went. We also ate at the Italian restaurant which was okay but really not worth the upcharge to us. Bonsai Sushi was outstanding!!! Deli was also a go to for lunch.

We purchased the drink package and got our moneys worth plus some with out being intoxicated or hung over.

Nelson at Alchemy was the best bartender. All the bartenders were good. I wished the Serenity Bar would have been open longer.

LOVED Southern Voice! The two men were great musicians and played good country music. Reggie was also very talented on solo guitar and has a beautiful voice. The Rock band was okay. The musicians were talented but the singers were just okay. We did not go to listen to the violin players but they sounded good when we passed by.

We were always able to find a quiet place to read in the shade! I think the Breeze is now my favorite ship ( only been on Dream, Valor, Glory, Elation, and Triumph before Breeze). We had a great time! Did not see any fights or trash talking (we were not in dance club or eating after midnight). On the between day of cruise there was a very angry women screaming at guest services. She wanted to know why she was charge $500 fee and was banned.  Over all it was a great trip and worth driving 5 hours.

Our cabin steward Imade was Great! All the staff we encountered were smiling and friendly.

Luv the Breeze.  Those 4 interior cabins on deck 12 are hidden gems IMO.  Stayed in that exact cabin on a couple cruises.  Still would rather have a balcony though!   Always a quiet place on the Deck 5 lanai.  Never could figure out why it is so deserted away from the hot tub areas.  Lounge chairs, shade...nice.

As for the B2B, were you able to leave all your stuff in your cabin during the "change over"?  Did you have to get off the ship?  Priority boarding to get back on?

We did not change rooms so we did not have to pack up. We met in restaurant and a lady came on ship and checked our passports. They gave us our new S&S cards and we were free to go. Our room was cleaned and ready by the time they let us leave restaurant. We had about an hour before others started boarding.

When on Valor we did follow staff off ship and walked through and had passports checked and walked right back on. Again had about an hour before new passengers boarded.

We enjoy the breeze and how to one day do a spa room. Did you feel it was packed in the spa area for chairs or the pool?

We never went and could not do what we planned to do. Never crowded to the point that we had to leave or be too close to others.

My money is on that lady’s room smelled like pot. $500 cleaning fee and lifetime ban. People think others won’t notice.

First cruise we have been on when we did not smell pot. She yelled something about losing her Cheers package, so maybe she over done it drinking and then got hostile when cut off. IDK

Breeze is my favorite. Have been on it at least 10 times.

Out of curiosity, did everything work in the spa?  Last time we were on the sauna, room between thermal lounge room and Asian sauna, wasn’t functioning. It was maybe 80 degrees inside.

Thanks so much as we leave on a 4 day Thursday, 9/5.
