"Our 4 & 5 Star Mariners, Club Orange, and Pinnacle & Neptune
Suite guests are invited to arrive anytime... Guests travelling on shared transport or arriving
as a group will be checked in together."

Regarding this statement. a group of 4 couples is arriving on shared transportation. All but one couple are either 4 star or Club Orange. The one couple that is not will be checked in at the same time per the statement above. Will that couple be able to board at the same time as well?

We are five star and just traveled with friends on their first cruise and was allowed to check in together and board together. However, I noticed there were no boarding times assigned on our last two cruises (Alaska on Zanndam, Norway on Rotterdam) as the ship boarded by deck.

In Norway they had a separate waiting area for 4&5 Star before boarding started and we did go first, however on the Alaska cruise there was a separate line for checking in but not for early boarding once passengers checked in, we all merged to the same line to clear customs.

Did you board your Alaska cruise in Vancouver? After Customs (actually Immigration), they usually have a separate waiting area for priority boarding. Or had boarding already started when you got to that point?

We boarded in Vancouver. Boarding had not started when we checked in but by the time we cleared immigration boarding had already started, so the holding area was empty. I may be wrong, but it appeared that they were letting everyone board as soon as you cleared Immagration and not holding people to time slots.

The process was fairly smooth, and we were enjoying lunch in less than 30 minutes of when we checked in.

This was my third cruise out of Vancouver, and I would say the smoothest from bag drop to room so whatever changes they have made are working from my perspective.

I was in priority, so I'm not sure, but it looked like they just filled rows as people arrived, not checking times.
