RNCheryl Posted September 12 #1 Share Posted September 12 I am interested in your recommendations for tours that require minimal walking. We are 3 seniors, no devices needed, but tire easily with long distances. Not worried about Bruges and Amsterdam, as we have been there and know what to do. But Iceland and Norway are the places we need assistance. Date is August next year.
hallasm Posted September 12 #2 Share Posted September 12 (edited) You have to list the ports in question - in this Forum we don't necessarily know which ports in Norway Prima calls at. The same is the case for your post in the 'Iceland and Greenland' Forum. Edited September 12 by hallasm
Rare ontheweb Posted September 13 #3 Share Posted September 13 Since we were on that cruise, though the opposite direction, I do know the ports (unless they have changed them). We did the art deco architecture tour in Alesund. The guide was wonderful and the walk was easy. The ports in Norway were Bergen, Geiranger, and Alesund. kitkat343 Posted September 13 #5 Share Posted September 13 Geiranger is easy - a panoramic bus will take you to all of the beautiful viewpoints. There is minimal walking, and breaks in between as you drive to the next site. In Bergen, there are taxis and HOHO buses and some limited public transportation. You can either take a tour, or identify what specifically you would like to see in Bergen. The funicular is right by the fish market so those are two easy things to visit together.
