I've been trying to "pack light" for the past 2 hours.  I'm used to just opening drawers and the closet and pulling out every hot-weather item I know I can wear and putting it a big suitcase.  I'm trying to go with 2 overhead-bin sized cases.  Of course, my big, stuffed toiletry bag, hair stuff, and makeup takes up half of one.  Then I realized I needed to split all the clothing between the two, so I re-packed.  I think I need to go back and take out about 30% of the clothes.  I mean, I'll be on 3 different ships.  I shouldn't need a dozen outfits, right?  And no one will care if I re-wear something.

That pork chop looks great!

I really want to try the silent disco.  I'll try to get there early enough.  I'm not a fan of karaoke.  It's only fun when people are drunk.  Too many folks think they're better singers than they are (me included, but I'll never get up there unless I'm so drunk I don't know what I'm doing!).  I rarely go to the shows these days, but since I've only sailed X once, I may give them a try.

OK, back to (re)packing!

As expected I could not get the scale to work this morning, too much ship movement.

Step count.

Sometimes I forget stuff but I definitely don't overpack. I do carry on only which is easy on a three day but I've done it on longer trips as well. Sometimes that means I'm carrying a lot of bags but I manage. Of course, I don't have all the accessories that ladies need so that helps.

Karaoke was actually fun last night, and it had a live band backing it and the singer would jump in when the person songing struggled to keep up. It can be pretty bad though if you don't have the right group of volunteers.

I've never seen silent disco fill up before, but then again I do usually show up early for a seat, I did not worry about it this time because I've found most people participate and seating is not an issue. I did not consider that they might run out of headphones.

If you are not a show person, I would not recommend Elysium. It was ok, performers were talented, but the material did not really wow me. I'm not a show person either.

Yes, those breakfast items still look really tasty.

I'd been meaning to ask what sort of tea X has.  I'm a hot tea person (and not that non-tea stuff made from spices or flowers; I want strong, black tea with plenty of caffeine).  I can make do with the Bigelow Breakfast Tea (in the pink package).  Another reason to love HAL - they have British brand PG Tips on the buffet.  My favorite.  And for their afternoon tea (which they offer daily), they actually come around with pots of BREWED PG TIPS and pour it for you.  Yea, I get really excited about afternoon tea.  And the table is set with finger sandwiches and yummy scones & other goodies.  I have to make myself not go every day. 😁

I'll check it out. They do an afternoon tea in the buffet, but it's really tea time in name only. Cunard does an amazing afternoon tea service.

Very nice breakfast glad that I finally made it here.

The Bloody Mary is a gamble but this was prepared beautifully and definitely came extra spicy as requested.

The smoothie was very good although I will know to order two next time, they come in a very tiny glass.

The smoked salmon was also very tasty and the bagel was freshly toasted amd warm when it arrives. Very enjoyable experience.

Heading now to Al Bacon for a coffee and maybe a croissant.

It's an old show....X needs some new ideas for non E Class ships! E Class shows are  wonderful in all venues!

Is escargot on the menu every night?  On the 11/4 sailing and just pulled up the menu but no escargot is listed.  😧

It was last night I will verify if it is still there tonight.

Another enjoyable lunch. This late the crowds have mostly cleared out although it is still quite busy, just not unmanageable.

They had the key lime pie so I skipped Al Bacon and got two slices and some bread pudding.

They have a couple new shows on here. I saw Feel The Funk and thought that one was really good.

Looking forward to checking out more new shows on Beyond next 😀

That looks Al Bacon worthy. How was the bread pudding? I think I remember enjoying it when we were on Reflection.

We had bread pudding from the buffet on Freedom that was probably the best I have ever eaten. Then the next week on Allure it was most definitely the worst I have ever eaten. I couldn't believe the difference. We really enjoyed all the food on Freedom but Allure was a big disappointment everywhere except Sorrento's.

It was a beautiful day out today. I certainly did not need to take any motion pills.

I spent my afternoon alternating between the track, gym and the sauna. Did 4 miles total and a little too much time in the sauna and a quick nap was in order.

I did not want to sleep long and it is a good thing because my neighbors are door slammers and incredibly restless or maybe hosting a party. I should have counted how many times they have gone in and out in the last hour, it's a least a dozen times and I'm not using literary license this time. In and out in and out.

Heading back out into the world now to fill the mobile bar.
