Seeking Pompeii information

Recommended Posts

I've taken the bus from Sorrento to Positano (and return) and the local train between Sorrento-Pompei-Naples and it is easy, cheap, fine and fairly reliable. The only recommendation I have is that if you do get on the bus in Positano to board at the far "south" side of town (not the church) as the bus filled up there and we just passed by everyone waiting at that bus stop.

Marika,
It would be possible and the journey from Amalfi to Sorrento is spectacular (make sure you sit on the left hand side(drivers side)of the bus for a sea view as opposed to a view of the rockface!).From Sorrento you can take the Circumvesuviana WWW.vesuviana.it train to Pompei/Naples.
