Hey, Danish Viking. Nice pictures!

We sailed on the DFDS Crown of Scandinavia last summer on the COPENHAGEN - OSLO - HELSINGBORG 2-night citybreak cruise. Your photograph is interesting in that it shows both the Crown of Scandinavia and Pearl of Scandinavia in Copenhagen at the same time. How is this possible since they depart from opposite ports each night to maintain the daily service between the two cities?

I thought Crown was a larger ship however it appears that Pearl is much bigger.

It is a old picture (june 2001), at that time the Queen of Scandinavia sailed on that route and Pearl was waiting to replace it, Queen now sails on the Newcastle (UK) - Amsterdam route with the King of Scandinavia.

And yes Pearl its a little bit bigger.

Info on all the precent and old DFDS Ferries can be seen here.

In the public schools in Denmark there is a "work week" where you visit a company and working like a normal emplyee and in 8th grade i was on the Crown and played Captain. ;-)
