MrPete Posted July 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2006 Anyone have experience? I'm waitlisted, but prefer early. And, if I'm visiting Mr. Md' anyway, is there a place I should aim for? What's the most desireable spot in the DR?
bug18 Posted July 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2006 I don't know the most desirable spot but you should be able to change the seating when you get on board. The maitre d will be available to make changes at the dining room.
cb at sea Posted July 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 12, 2006 You can't request a specific "spot" in the dining room--sorry! Just go to the dining room on boarding day, and make sure you are waitlisted for the dining time you prefer. It may not happen the 1st evening, but almost certainly by the 2nd night! coskat Posted July 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2006 On our 9day Explorer cruise last week we went and checked our table(front & center as you entered the dining room- major traffic flow!) as soon as we boarded and requested a change. We were waitlisted and had a new table (four over & down in it's own little alcove) the next night.(coincidentally our new table mates were fellow cruise critic members who we had yet to meet at the M&M). This was at the main seating. If we had wanted to change to late there was availability the first night. I'm sure availability at each seating varies cruise to cruise.
