Love Boat Drink?

Recommended Posts

Is there a drink on Princess called the Love Boat? If so, what is it?

I like frozen drinks and also drinks made with sweet and sour mix, any suggestions on what I should try while cruising?

Thanks,

Stefani

Never saw a Love Boat drink. Did see and taste the dessert (sorry, for me it was too sweet).

They make the usual assortment of Fru-Fru drinks. I like Hurricanes and Bahama Mama's.

Our personal favorite is the Rum Runner - the best of any shipe we've been on.

When we sailed the Sky Princess (I think it was '91), they did have a drink called the Love Boat, it was foo foo drink. They also had a lot of others they don't have any more - one was called the "Chocolate Sprinkle". Excellent foo foo drink!

I think on my first Princess cruise there was a Love Boat drink, it was frozen, and I didnt try it. I think it was blue and white. What is in a Rum Runner?

Any other suggestions for drinks to try?

Thanks,

Stefani

Don't know if they serve it on Princess (kinda doubt it) but the "traditional" Love Boat is a mix of pear, peach, grapes, pineapple/syrup, sorbet, ice rum, and maybe banana liquer blended and served in a pineapple shell. Of course if you're doing it right, any drink on a cruise is a love boat.

Salud!

If you like drinks with sweet & sour mix (or sour mix), try out a Tom Collins (gin) or Vodka Collins. Very refreshing on a warm day, and even better while cruising I suppose.

Vicki, what a "jammin jelly donut"? I love drinks that sound like this. Especially the "Pineapple Upside Down Cake". Have you asked for it on a cruise?

My favorite drink is the jammin jelly donut

I keep seeing references to this drink on these boards - can anyone tell me what type of drink it is (martini, frozen, on the rocks, etc.) and what's in it? Sounds yummy!:D

I don't know what's in the Rum Runner, but its pale pink and frozen. Wheelhouse make the best ones. They do a rum floater on top, but ifyou're not a fan of tasting the rum, then just ask them to leave it off. Its really, really, good. First thing we do when we get onboard is to order a Medium Rum Runner!
