I have booked pre and post cruise night at this hotel. We wanted to be close to the beach as we have our children and dh wanted to be by Las Olas. How much is the taxi (or do they have a shuttle) from the airport? How much is a taxi from the hotel to the pier? Any info is appreciated.

The cost of the taxi from the airport to the hotel is $15.00. From the hotel to Las Olas it can run anywhere from about $8-$20 depending on the traffic.

I called the Yankee Trader and it is about a $17-$20 cab ride from the airport. It is also about 15 minutes from the port. I was thinking of changing to the Amerisuites. Any comments good or bad about the Amerisuites? Thanks.

There is a Radisson right on the beach not far from the port - about 3 miles. A friend of mine stayed there and it was clean. Rates from $99-129 per night but I bet you could get it cheaper thru Priceline.
