Real Poker on Mariner

Yes, they had poker tournaments in the Connoisseur Club a couple nights on my sailing last week. Seems like there is always a game in there. Also, the card room on the 14th deck(Viking Crown) has decks of cards to play your own. I have the compasses at home and I will look through to see what days they had it.

On the AOS, there was one table of Texas Hold Em, which was basically just a converted blackjack table. Surprisingly, it was never really that crowded. In fact, most of the time, the dealer was just standing around waiting for people to play. It's a $5-10 game, and it's tough because you're only playing maybe against 5 other people. I played a few times on our cruise and found that everybody calls everything and never folds. Pretty tough to win with regularity. Not sure about tournaments on the Mariner - there weren't any on Adventure.
