booking without a name..can i do it?

Recommended Posts

My dad usually takes me on a cruise every summer and lets me bring a friend. I would like to try to go on the liberty next august but if i want to do that i have to book now (or soon). i dont know what friend i want to take (the trip would be a year from now). so, say i put my mom's name in there just to save the spot, can i change it later to my friends name? if so, how long before we leave will i have to do that by?

Maybe your dad could adopt me. Then you can take me, your new step-sister.:D:D:D

Yes, you can use your mom's name and change it later. Make sure you do so before final payment. After that, there is a name change fee.

Happy sailing,

Jill

Yes...you can do that. However, you can also book it as under your name with 2nd passenger as TBA. You will need to put deposit down as if it were for 2 people though. In other words, if the deposit is, say $250 per person, you would still have to put down $500. You can add the TBA name before final payment.

MszKitty's answer is right on as we just did this last week. My aunt wanted to go but didn't know if she could get my other aunt to join her and we wanted to get her her room when we got everyone else's. So we just had to put the amount down for "double occupancy" so to speak and they put TBA in her reservation. This is for the Navigator 11/24/07 so we still have plenty of time to talk someone else into joining her.
