billsrobb Posted August 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2006 Does anyone recall how much the taxi cost to go from GC to 7 mile beach and how much from Montego Bay to Margaritaville? Second question Are there any Hard Rock Cafe's in Jamica, GC and Cozemel? I have a friend who wants a hard rock cafe shirt from those places. Thanks, Robb
NMCruzzin Posted August 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2006 Hi Robb, We just returned from our cruise and yes there is a Hard Rock Cafe in Grand Cayman - when you tender in from your ship - look to the right along the shops and you will see it. It is right off the main street there if you go to your right. Jean
divadiverfl Posted August 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2006 GC & Coz does have a Hard Rock--GC right off the pier to the right--Coz downtown (unless they are docking at the pier that receive bad bad damage with the storms last year. We had to tender this past Feb. down away from downtown. Taxi cost us to be 5 a piece but I am sure it has changed in GC
billsrobb Posted August 17, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted August 17, 2006 Thanks to both of you above to answer my question. Still looking for taxi fare to 7 mile beach and margaritaville.
NRWO Posted August 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2006 I wouldn't stress.. it's not gonna be much. The 2 farthest points of interest in GC can't be more than 15 mins apart by cab at most. (Hell may be a little farther)

TheWog Posted August 21, 2006 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2006 Taxi's were $4 per person each way from the pier to Sea Grape beach in Jan '05. They may have increased to $5 per person each way. Margaritaville should be walkable from the tender pier. Hard Rock is just down to the right across the street, you can't miss it. We got a great shirt from there and a glass. Wog old friend, was taking this note for a Thanksgiving cruise that will bring us back to Grand Cayman, and wnated to mention that in spite of my kvetching (check a yiddish dictionary if needed) about the Bahamas in January, we've booked the Sovereign for 3 quick nights to start the year, 1/2/07 -- 1/5/07. I know you are a January cruiser--Pennsylvania seems warm to you, relatively, in the winter--I don't see anything listed for you in '07...c'mon, you know you want to...making the reservation will cheer you up post-Boston Massacre II (still remember 1978, sheesh, wow, this was stunning...but then, didn't the Yankees score 19 runs to go up 3-0 in 2004 ALCS....) Gonna join in?

Gonna join in? Ahh Logan my friend. I may just have to look into this. Yes, PA is very warm to me in the throws of a January blizzard. I have nothing booked since we are going to the "Happiest Place on Earth" this November. Are you sans children in January? And thanks for the reminder. Can you believe that?????? Schill and (surprisingly) Wells did pretty well. The rest of the staff pretty much mailed it in. I think Tom Brady should lace em up and come on over. At least he could probably throw a strike. Lets walk 19 Yankees in one game. That's a great way to win. Have to hand it to the boys in Pinstripes, they laid it on us. There is still a lot of baseball left to be played though. You're right I would rather have this weekend than the 4 game sweep of the 2004 playoffs as a reminder.
