SPARKLE10 Posted August 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2006 Hi: We have a cruise booked on the Sapphire Princess for March of next year, to NZ and Australia. I was told by my TA that it was too early to get assigned seats, even though we're doing the air deviation on this flight and flying in a day early from the midwest to LAX, to break up the long flight ahead of us. I was talking with a lady from Georgia on our "Meet & Mingle" thread and she said she was able to get her seats assigned already thru her TA and then thru Princess. My TA keeps telling me that it's too early. I was wondering if I need to get a new TA or not... if she knows what she's talking about. This is our first time to NZ and Australia, even though we've cruised 40 times to other destinations. Anyone have any experience or comments about this? Thanks.....Sparkle 10 (Anita)
Desert Cruisers Posted August 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Have you tried to call the airline(s) directly to reserve your seats?:)
FlyerTalker Posted August 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Different airlines have different windows for seat assignments. For example, you can buy a ticket on Northwest 11 months out, but seat assignments don't become available until 90 days before the flight. Other airlines load the seatmaps when the flight is available for sale. Without more specific info, that's the best I can tell you.
