hondocruiser Posted August 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Just got back from our first ever cruise, we were on Rhapsody, and I'm ready to book again! My hubby's bday is next year (big 5-0) and I want to book a nice cabin. The Owners Suite is a total of $600 more for the cruise than the Grand suite. Can anyone recommend one over the other? Worth the extra $600??? Thanks so much!
briri Posted August 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2006 OS without a doubt ( for $600).... larger, nicer room and bathroom, bigger balcony also..... I would definately spend the extra $$ for a special occasion...Have a blast!!!:) BTW Go Owls!
KEG21552 Posted August 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2006 I have never been in the Grand Suite, but have had an owner's suite. It is huge compared to other cabins. There are 2 separate rooms. There were 4 of us and it was still huge. The first room is the bedroom and then a sitting room with a sofa, chairs etc. The balcony is off the sitting room. Big bathroom with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. had something special each day, little sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. It was very, very, very nice. If it was just the 2 of us, i would probably go with the grand suite. We passed by and peered in and the looked plenty big for 2 people. Going on the Rhapsody next April in a junior suite. Can't wait. Enjoy whatever you decide. Karen
hondocruiser Posted August 19, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted August 19, 2006 Thanks for the responses. I will book owner's. We have a son who will be 6 on that Oct.1 (cruise departs 10/21) so I think the extra room will really be useful. We loved our Large Oceanview Stateroom in earlier this month, especially Richard the steward, but it was pretty tight in there. Thanks again!
