Recommended Posts

My wedding is fast approaching and I need help!! I am getting on NCL SUN on October 29, 2006. Does anyone have pictures of their wedding on the Sun? I would also appreciate any suggestions and hints on what you did that you liked and what you would do differently. Thanks so much for your help!

We cruised on the Sun last summer for Alaska and someone at the time was asking about the wedding chapel. Have you seen pics? We took four pics that I can upload - just checked to make sure I had them still. We weren't married on that cruise but do have those pics of the chapel if you would like. We had cabin 9278 on the other end of the ship.

We will be married in the port of New Orleans before the ship leaves. We have reserved the Observation Lounge for the wedding. We have about 35 people coming and they said that the chapel holds a max of 20, but they prefer only 15. I have seen pictures of the chapel, but we have to big of a family to utilize the chapel. I would really like some pictures of weddings held in the Observation Lounge or weddings held in Le Bistro. If Le Bistro has a nicer set-up for the ceremony we can switch locations, because we are the only wedding scheduled for that day so far. NCL sent me pictures of both places, but not how they would be set up for the wedding. I also would like suggestions on what to do and what not to do as far as boarding, the ceremony and reception, and any other ideas that people have. Thanks for your help.

LeBistro would be nice - we had dinner there twice that week. There is this gazebo type thing plus all the windows - and it's not too big in there so you don't feel like you're a small group. More cozy and intimate than the observation lounge I would say. We had also cruised on the Sun's sister ship (Sky) that had basically the same setup.

Boarding - I suggest go early and let them know you have a wedding that day. When the crew hear you are marring and see that white garment bag in your hand, they are very accommodating.

I also am getting married on the Sun Princess on Jan 11th (leaving Jan 9th,07). I was told there in NO Chapel on the Sun Princess...so we are getting married in the library. Was actually wondering if anyone had a wedding on the Sun/library...I would LOVE to see pics as I amm very worried about how they will decorate the library up for a wedding???

The Sun Princess is a different cruiseline / ship from the NCL Sun. NCL is Norwegian Cruise Line. :)
