Fly to MIA sail from FLL

It seems like we are doing the opposite of what most cruisers are doing by flying into Miami and sailing from FLL. We need to find a place to stay for one night pre-cruise in FLL, preferably close to the water taxi. We will arrive in MIA at 7am and then will either rent a car or take some sort of shuttle to FLL.

We sail back into FLL and our flight out of MIA does not leave until 8am the next day so will need 1 night in MIA not too far from the airport.

Any ideas on either hotel or a shuttle that would work for us? Most of the shuttlles I have looked into only leave from FLL and not the reverse.

Thanks!

We've done this route in the past and will be doing it again in October - flying into Miami and sailing from Lauderdale.

Our favourite method of transportation is http://www.floridalimo.com. They will pick you up in either FLL or MIA and deliver you to either city. We're going to the Sheraton Yankee Trader from MIA and an executive town car with greet & meet is $85 including tip. The driver meets you at the baggage claim - takes your bags to the car and delivers you to your hotel. No waiting for others or milk runs to ten other hotels en route. They have always been quite reliable. Have a great trip!
