Reason Why you Cruise Carnival?

What are your reasons why you select Carnival, rather than other cruise lines? Please post if not listing in the poll.

Oddly enough, it is more of an automatic selection. After over 20 years of nothing but Carnival ... we just naturally gravitate to this cruiseline first when looking for a cruise. Kinda like the "if it ain't broke...don't fix it" mindset. I am also a person who likes knowing what to expect. I am the boring person who eats "one" thing at every restaurant, every single time. (Chili's - nachos, TGIF - Jack Daniels Flat-Iron steak etc)

However, having said that, we are currently seriously looking at expanding. We certainly don't have anything against any other cruise line. We have been looking at RCCL and Princess.

We do enjoy the value of Carnival, but we can afford to cruise with anyone. My addiction is karaoke, which is the only thing that would stop me from seriously looking at any cruise ship where I can't sing.

I choose the cruise based on where it is going and what it costs and my schedule. They can be on any line and I'm not a booster for any of them. But I have done 10 on Carnival and 8 on Princess. The others are in single digits.

Cheers,

Peter

First off, I have and will continue to try other lines. But .... so far Carnival is my favorite.

Their price can't be beat, they offer a good product, great food, 24 hr pizza and ice cream and the deli and fish and chips are great too.

We are very easy going people and actually don't care for all the stuffy fussiness of some of the other lines. Just give us a clean fun ship with great food and we'll make our own fun. Carnival does that and at a super price. We're doing a 12 day Med cruise next spring for less money than 1 week in the Caribbean on RCCL or Princess next sping and it's on a brand new ship which makes it even sweeter. Can't beat that.:D

In no particular order:

Price - especially when comparing suites

Itinerary choices

The ship layouts and larger rooms

Pizza

Abilility to easily navigate and do everything via their web site

We'll continue to cruise RC and Celebrity when they have what we're looking for, but we'll always include Carnival in our searches. Being biased for or against any cruise line just doesn't make sense to me, especially when it's usually based on pettiness. Don't hate me because I love every cruise I've been on....... OK, maybe the ones when I was in the Navy don't bring back ALL fond memories. ;)

I am a true hard-nosed Carnival fan. Guess you could call me a "Carnivalista". I have been cruising with them since the beginning way back in the 70's....

That being said, I also travel solo most of the time which means the dreaded "single supplement" - and I must have a balcony (spoiled rotten). So, price is the number 1 concern when booking a cruise. If it were cheaper on RCCL, I'd probably sail them - have in the past....whoever brings me the best price..

Fortunately, almost without exception, Carnival has filled the bill.....

We support those who support our military especially when that support is in the form of a discount. :) Our first cruise was with carnival because of the discount. Our second cruise is with carnival because 1. we enjoyed the first one so much and 2. the military discount makes it possible for us to cruise once again. The passengers are friendly and having fun, the staff is friendly and seem to enjoy their place of employment thus making it a FUN ship.

I love that I can cruise the Eastern Caribbean Itinery and not have to stop at San Juan. YES! Been there done that. Have no desire to stop there again. :) Plus, the pizza is the best I have ever had on a cruise ship. I hope they never stop using there supplier for that.

Price is my biggest factor.

I can also drive to an embarkation port - saving money on airfare and allowing me to take more cruises.

That, and I just want to be platinum - 4, 5, and 6 are booked! ;)

My 100 best friends are on the cruise. :D

As a usually solo cruiser I love all the options....I can be a glam gal at dinner and then head off to sing my heart out at the piano bar and dance my feet raw at the disco and them recoup the next afternoon on deck or at the spa :D

I have met great people and enjoyed wonderful, personal service on Carnival. I feel quite comfortable travelling solo due to the ammenities and entertainment and the price is is good as well.

We have gotten some really good deals on Carnival Cruises and I can honestly say hands down that we have had some of our best family Vacations on Carnival. What started out as a family vacation when myDD graduated from high school became the taunt two years later when my DS graduated "but, we went on one whe SHE graduated."

Have yet to have a bad experience. Knock on wood. We like the atmosphere and feel of stepping into another world from the minute you step on til the minute you step off. Could we have as much fun on another line. Probably, but.......but.........Carnival has our hearts.
