When Does Carnival Start Lowering The Price Of A Cruise? I Keep Seeing Where Some Folks Are Getting Obc For The Difference...we Leave In 7 Wks

Depends on how well the cruise is selling, but they do it when they predict they will need to move cabins. It may never go down if the cruise is selling well, may even go up (mine did). Also, some TA's are reporting that after final payment Carnival will upgrade, but is getting difficult to get refund or OBC for the reduction in price.

I received a $100 obc just last week. My cruise is August 26. The price started to go down about 3 weeks before our cruise.

Yes, my cruise went down in price and my TA called and all Carnival would offer is an upgrade not an OBC. I am happy with my cabin and do not want the upgrade, I would prefer the OBC. I think they are very reluctant to do that now.
