AM428 Posted August 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Hi Everyone. This is my 1 st cruise and I am going on VOS. I just wanted to know how are the beds in the staterooms? I know that they are 2 twin sized beds put together to make a queen. But is it comfortable? I just want to hear some opinions. Thank You in advance! :)
IMNiles Posted August 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2006 I'm not sure when Voyager gets the new bedding, but we sailed her transatlantic in May, and my impression was that the bedding in our inside cabin was pretty near the end of its' useful life. The "crack" between the two twins was pronounced, so we usually ended up squeezing on one side or the other, or at least alternating who slept on the crack. We tried to get an egg-crate topper, but they were all out. I haven't heard first-hand reports about the new bedding but I know the design eliminates the crack so I'm sure that would be much more comfortable. debs1204 Posted August 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Hi Everyone. This is my 1 st cruise and I am going on VOS. I just wanted to know how are the beds in the staterooms? Thank You in advance! :) We just came off Voyager this Saturday and we had the new bedding and mattresses and the beds were very very comrfortable. However, we did notice during the week that beds and bedding were still being changed in some of the cabins so I cant comment that all will be complete. If yours has been changed, rest assured you will have a great nights sleep, they are fab!!

mringenoldus Posted August 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2006 Besides the new mattress, does the new bedding include a higher thread count for the sheets and a down cover with duvet? Was there any improvement to the pull out bed in the sofa? (We have 3 ladies sharing a JS - and I'm pretty sure I'll end up on the pull-out) Thanks!
