jenmas Posted August 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Has anyone been on the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas to Grand Cayman and Jamaica? We are thinking about going in May 2007 and wanted to hear some feedback on it. Thanks!:)

Jsme Posted August 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2006 We went on the Enchantment in April and had such a great time. We loved the ship so much we now have two cruises booked on her next year. One in March and one in May. What all do you want to know about the ship?

sailingsue5 Posted August 26, 2006 #7 Share Posted August 26, 2006 Can you please tell me if there was a Crown & Anchor reception on this 5 night cruise? I've heard yes from a cruiser that went in November, but C&A says only on 7 night cruises. Thanks.
LizC Posted August 26, 2006 #8 Share Posted August 26, 2006 We are going to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary. I am very much looking forward to it. I will advise you of the ship after our return.
AdGuyMike Posted August 26, 2006 #9 Share Posted August 26, 2006 Can you please tell me if there was a Crown & Anchor reception on this 5 night cruise? I've heard yes from a cruiser that went in November, but C&A says only on 7 night cruises. Thanks. There was a Platinum/Diamond C&A reception in the Viking Crown Lounge @ 12N on day 2. There was a C&A reception for ALL C&A members in the Spotlight Lounge on night 4. I can't recall what time in the early evening this was. The food at both receptions was the same. Chicken wings, meatballs, eggrolls and an assortment of little desserts like eclairs and cake. And of course any drink you cared to order.
sailingsue5 Posted August 27, 2006 #10 Share Posted August 27, 2006 I wonder why RCI says only on 7 night??? I'll keep my fingers crossed that we have one on our sailing. Free drinks and I'm there!! Did you get an invitation delivered to your cabin? SOOOOO many questions.........
mommabean Posted August 27, 2006 #11 Share Posted August 27, 2006 I did get an invitation to the crown and anchor party delivered to my room separately from the platinum and diamond party on our 5 night cruise. It is odd now that you mention it since they do say it's only on 7 nights or longer cruises. There was never a crown and anchor party on the 3 night cruises I went on. But there were platinum and diamond parties on those.
sailingsue5 Posted August 27, 2006 #12 Share Posted August 27, 2006 Well, I hope they have one on our cruise. But if they don't, I guess I'll just have to come up with something else to do. :p Since this will be my first one, I just want to make sure I don't miss it if they do have one. I called and they said only on 7 night and everywhere I read it says only on 7 night but RCI likes to keep us guessing sometimes.

I've heard yes from a cruiser that went in November, but C&A says only on 7 night cruises. Thanks. We were on 5 night Enchantment cruise in June. There was a C&A reception for platinum and diamond members as well as a C&A for all members. Did it change since June?

There was a C&A reception for platinum and diamond members as well as a C&A for all members. Did it change since June? I sure hope not!! C&A is still sticking with their story that they have only offered this on 7 night cruises. Maybe the Enchantment 5 night is an exception. I reallly don't know why they wouldn't offer it on all their cruises though. Did you go to it? How was it?
LizC Posted August 27, 2006 #15 Share Posted August 27, 2006 We are taking the four night cruise 9/21. I hope that there will be a reception. Anyone been on a four night cruise with a reception? This cruise sails the day before our Wedding Anniversary and it sailing over a weekend. With this cruise we will lose less time at work. It really fit our schedule. I would hate it if RCCL puts less importance on short cruises.

Our 4 night 7/05 (Key West & Cozumel) cruise on the Empress Of The Seas had a C&A reception. That summer, the Empress was filling in for the Enchantment while it was being stretched. The reception was held around noon in Portofinos.
