Carnival Triumph St. Thomas snorkel excursion?

They are offering a "St. Thomas Island tour and Beach adventure" which includes Snorkel equipment, lesson & feed the fish for $39 starting at 9am-12. It does not state location, so I called and they say that they have 3 to choose from and decide when we get there due to conditions. Has anyone done this so that I can get an idea of where? They do offer another excursion to Coki for $39, but it does not include the snorkel equipment.

Another good shore excurison in St. Thomas is the Christmas Cove Snorkeling excursion. We did it and it was amazing. They actually take you snorkeling about 3 miles from where the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was filmed. I highly reccomend this excursion.

Carnival I believe has very over priced shore excursions. I scuba dove with them in ST thomas. It was a 2 tank dive like 90.00 each person. The tanks are what we call pony tanks! they are little baby tanks and only give you like 10 minutes of air compared with REAL tanks and much longer bottom time. There were 60 people trying to underwater on one little beach! I felt really ripped!

Ever since I have booked excursions prior to my tirps with the locals online! I have enjoyed a much better value. ALWAYS, ALWAYS watch the time and be responsible ON YOUR OWN to get Back to the ship in time!

Have fun and play safe!

personally, we just hop a taxi for $5 pp cab or if a large group to accomodate $7pp in a van each way... about 15 minutes. The coki beach is free. you can buy your snorkel stuff at Dicks sporting goods or rent it at coki for $5 pp... there is basic grill food and drinks. you can haggle for 2 chairs and an umbrella for $12. The drivers will hunt you down and drag you out at your designated pick up times... our driver Tony (our 3rd visit) told me next vacation find another driver... when I said "15 more minutes... for the 2nd time"... we were starting to cut it close.

coki is a very easy and safe way to snorkel on your own excursion first time. Just get the drivers cell # if you want the same one, or walk up the stairs to the taxi pick up... many waiting for you.

drinks are average price and service is very quick but not obnoxious. Sorry, my favorite place. if you want some pictures of coki and the snorkeling e-mail me
