Towel Animals

Yes and no. There is no ship-wide or fleet-wide policy regarding towel animals (AFAIK). Some stewards will make them; others won't. In addition, some stewards will make them upon request. It's all luck of the draw.

Personally, I find them somewhat cute, but I could easily do without them.

Does anyone know if the NCL room stewards make animals from the towels? We missed out on this one our last cruise and was wondering. Its the litle things that make you smile!!!:)

We always had been fortunate..one cruise..towel animals every night!! 2 nd cruise ..about every other night 3rd cruise after night 2 we got one every day, in fact we started adding glasses and remote controls and the stewards started changing the towel animal faces and bodies a few times a day!! LOL

Although there is no set answer if you get them or not, many do, some get them occasionally and our host Cecilia never got any :( ........YET! I bet with that lil baby she sees many :-):D

Thanks everyone. I know the towel animals arent for everyone, but i would totally be like NJBear and add things from the room to the animals and take pictures. I hope we get someone who does that. Sometimes the simplest things can make us laugh! Happy Sailing!

We cruised the Dawn last week, and didn't get any towel animals. I was hoping siince we had young kids with us. I didn't ask though either. I did ask for more chocolate mints each night and did get them, so I was happy! There were others on the cruise that did get towel animals though, so I guess it just depends who you get.

Our experiences with towel animals have been different on every cruise. On our Dawn trip last Fall we had 2 in 10 days. When we took the 16 day Spring repositioning cruise on the Majesty this year, we had a towel animal every night (Thank you Carlo and Rommel!) :D It was so much fun going back to our cabin each night to see who would be there to greet us!

My favorites were the little mouse peeking out from behind the pillow and the hanging monkey. ;)

On our Dawn cruise in 2004 we got an animal every night. The cruises since, not so much! On the last cruise I asked the stewart why and he told me a shortage of towels. Take that for what it's worth. I do know the suites do get more than the other cabins. ;)

By the end of our cruise on the Sky, we had a whole zoo-full of towel animals, all playing cards or reading a book on our bed. Each day, I would re-arrange them, and on the last night, I put Holloween masks cut out of paper on each of them. Our stewart had as much fun as I did. I think they like to interact a little too.

OMG! That would be so awesome! I really hope I get someone who does the animals....I may even be bold enough to ask them to do it. I just cant wait to get on that boat. 9 gloreous days...really it feels like almost 10 since we dont get back until noon on disembarkment day! Bring on the Animals!!!

If you're real lucky, you'll get a towel person!

On our 1st cruise on the Dreamward-we had a suite on the Norway deck. We entered the cabin after dinner with our 8 yr old son and the steward had taken the pull out bed for our DS-and formed a body on the bed using clothes, towels, sunglasses and a hat-looked real freaky laying there until we realized what it was!!

We got towel animals every night on the POH. Our steward even put things like glasses and remote controls and the lei that we had in the room on the animals. It is one of those things that makes you smile.:)
