Booking alternative restaurants

Since the website has opened the alternative restaurant bookings, I have made reservations at Latitudes and Signatures. I have booked a table for 2 at each, but what happens if we wish to dine with other, as yet unknown, passengers? Should I have reserved a table for 4 "just in case" and if so, what happens if we don't find anyone to dine with us?

You might be able to change your reservation to a table for 4 once onboard if you meet someone who you wish to dine with in Signatures or Latitudes but you would not each be allowed to reserve a table for 4 on 2 separate nights. (You will be asked for the cabin number of the people you wish to dine with.) Why don't you just keep your reservations as they stand for now and try not to be concerned about it? Remember that you can dine with new friends for any breakfast or lunch as well as on any night in the main dining room. Oftentimes it is possible to secure a second reservation in one of the specialty restaurants but that is not a given.
