Rare MrSchwump Posted September 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2006 In a previous post, I lamented that our el cheapo cabin would be adjacent to the bilge pumps, probably near the chain locker. Some wag even suggested we'd have to operate the pumps at our lowball fare. Surprised was I to find we'd been bumped up to the Lido deck of the Crown. Still an inside cabin but we'll be high and dry. Are there any drawbacks to cabins located in this area. Our cabin is L241. It looks like there's lots of public spaces on the Lido deck. Is there a corresponding increase in the noise level? That would be okay as I can belt out my sea shantys all night if I want. Let that be fair warning to the poor soul in L243. Rustyone Posted September 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Mrschwump you'll have to verify with that "wag" but I believe you will now be responsible for washing dishes. :D

FredS Posted September 2, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2006 I have stayed inside Lido deck cabin on the Sapphire and found no noise. I was forward of the elevators and stairs but I have had no problem with noise on any Princess ship. Being on Lido makes it very convenient to get food, coffee and if you spend time on deck it is easy to get things from the cabin.

2good2b Posted September 2, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 2, 2006 We were in Lido 303 on Caribbean Princess and LOVED it! Near an elevator which we loved (NOT noisy from our room) and also near the food and pools. A jogging track was over head and we could hear people walking occasionally during the day but did not stay in cabin much during daytime hours so that was no problem.:)
