KelliKevin Posted September 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2006 We are sailing on the Destiny next month, Oct. 1st and have meet some people thru our Roll Call pages. So we want to make sure we all actually meet. We are thinking the first night, maybe right after lifeboat drill or maybe an hour after departure? or when? How about the Piano Bar for a location? I am sure lots of you have done this...when is a good time/place? thanks
GoinCruisin Posted September 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Best time is the first morning at sea... the first day is crazy and many won't show up once they get into their own thing. We schedule one for after Muster and one for the next morning... there are always MANY more the next morning... If you want to meet and have drinks, make sure you go to a bar that is serving drinks :D LOL. As for the piano bar, Carnival may have something going on there... you may not want to plan for lounges and bars, as there could be other groups meeting there. Plan for one of the bars on the Lido. derf5585 Posted September 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Here is how it works Someone in the Roll Call makes a suggestion on a time and place. Everyone else disagrees. Then another CruiseCriter makes another suggestion that gets shot down. Then everyone else is intimidated that there is no meeting after all. We had it by Steller Bar right after the Mustard Dill. hstrybuf Posted September 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Our rollcall group decided on a Lido deck bar right after muster drill. I also like doing one on the first sea day for the same reasons goincruisin mentioned.
marshabear Posted September 1, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2006 we are sailing on the destiny oct 15th and have decided on the stellar bar at 4pm... this time was suggested by a CC member who has his own group to organize after the muster drill so he thought it might be better to do our CC meet and greet earlier... our first sea day, isn't until day 4 so we don't really want to wait that long... hoping we get to meet alot of CC members!! :) Marsha
