cfurtick Posted September 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2006 We are booked on the Fantasy for our First Cruise!! My question is: I know when at most casinos the alcohol flows "freely" as well as comps for food etc. Is there anything on the cruise ship casions to keep gamblers gambling. Also Is the alcohol at Atlantis free while gambling?? Maybe these are dumb questions, but inquiring minds want to know! Thanks
JGB Posted September 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2006 As a general rule on board one pays for drinks in the casino. However if you are a heavy better or a big winner the casino will buy your drinks. I just came off the ecstasy and they bought all my drinks.(I do not drink alcohol so I was a cheap date.) johnql Posted September 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Comped drinks are definitely not routine on a cruise ship, BUT if you become a regular and the pit bosses end up recognizing you, you may be offered a few free rounds. It's certainly not like land casinos, where free drinks are the norm.
Cotton Posted September 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Above replies are correct. The average passenger does not get comp drinks in the casino. Atlantis - Yep, just like any other land-based casino - drinks flow freely.:)
kitty9 Posted September 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 6, 2006 Crystal is the only large cruise ship line that offers free drinks in the casino for everyone, regardless of how much you bet.
