catkins Posted September 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2006 I have a beaded/sequined top that is shaped like a butterly (wings cover the front) that has wrap around straps on the back, was trying to figure out, if I should try to pair this with a set of gaucho like capris or , pallazo pants, or full length sheer skirt. I was thinking of making this the outfit for the 2nd formal night. Thx
Gingee Posted September 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Can you send us a picture? That helps.
Solo Cruiser Posted September 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2006 but I'd like to see a picture too. A sheer full length skirt or some full length palazzo pants sound like they'd be just the ticket for formal night but I'd probably steer clear of the capris. But then, differences in style and taste is what makes people watching on the ship so much fun.
Happy ks Posted September 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Gaucho pants are very casual they would look rather odd with a beaded top. I think you need a skirt, evening pants or even a dress. I have a beaded jacket that I wear over a short black dress and I like very much how it looks.
BlueHerons Posted September 4, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Agree, skip the gauchos and capris for formal night.
LoveMyBabies Posted September 4, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 4, 2006 I would go with the skirt.
SUNSHINEONME Posted September 5, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 5, 2006 If your are comfortable....and happy....does it really matter what you wear?? I think the Top souds great!! I have just purchased a pair of Guachos to wear with a beaded sleeves top...beaded and fun Not stuffy at all. The outfit is so fun and comfortable and with the right shoes, it will be amazing! I think its all a matter of age, and style/ honestly. Comfort is #1 for me. .... JMO
catkins Posted September 5, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted September 5, 2006 I will try to get my daughter to take a picture of the top front & back, and help me post it, my scanner is broken. I was really trying to lean towards pants, and not the skirt, eventually it will come down to how comfortable I feel, after trying on the different ensembles:o
