cruisinbulldog Posted September 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Anybody have any info on the cigar selection and,or what is stocked at the bar? Single malts, cognacs? Prices? Are you allowed to bring in cigars from our private stock to enjoy?
sail7seas Posted September 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2006 You can bring your own cigars to smoke. Oak Room is located off Crows Nest and you can certainly get a drink from the bar and bring it into the smoking allowed Oak Room with you. I don't know if there is steward bar service. Have no clue about what cigars may or may not be for sale.
cruisinbulldog Posted September 3, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted September 3, 2006 So there is no service bar in the Oak Room? Does anybody have any pictures of this area?
Nectarologist Posted September 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Can anyone comment on the air quality in the room? When I was on NCL Spirit they had a so called smoking lounge but it was just a room w/ an air purifier in it. The room was so smokey you couldn't stay in for more than 5 min. Of course a smoking room will be somehwhat smokey but if properly outfitted as a smoking room the room should be fine to sit in. Thanks.

jhannah Posted September 5, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Correct. No bar in the room. But it's very nice and well-ventilated since it's also used for other purposes.
AAAAmerican Posted September 5, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Knock on wood.. or in Canada they say Touch wood... The Oak room is wonderfully appointed and as well ventilated. Yes being a cigar room people smoke there so if smoke bothers you dont go. I do not imbibe in that pleasure yet agree if someone wants to let them. Remember what help win and finance the War of 1776 ... Tobacco exported... Remember how many taxes are from this ... :D Bringing in a drink from the bar which is about 50 feet away is not a problem or far away.. malts cognac etc.. yes from the bar area or they will get what you desire as your paying the tab...
