Wennfred Posted September 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2006 anyone have brett allens on valor as cruise director, what did you think of him, give me your comments thanks:rolleyes: We had him in March, to us he is Great !!! Anyone that dresses up in Drag during one of the Shows is AAA+++ on my list. The guy is Cool, He is also a Magician, does a cool 30 minute magic show with his birds that live onboard with him. Guy is an American from Orlando Fl. and thats another reason why I liked him. As for his CD Assistance, I didnt really like her. Fred
caribbean dreams Posted September 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 4, 2006 We just had him on the valor and also years back on he Inspiration, He's got a great radio voice but as a cruise director, he's not my favorite but then again, i cruise for the relaxation, not the activities so i really don't pay attention to most of the cruise directors. JackieH Posted September 4, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2006 He is not on the Valor anymore. The CD on the Valor is a lady named Darcy Knievel(Or something like that). We just sailed on the Valor Aug 20-27th.

JackieH Posted September 4, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2006 How was she? I didnt see much of her. What I did see, she seemed funny enough.Inever saw her walking around or anything. I only saw her on TV when they would broadcast her talks about ports etc... I did see her at the shows at night, she was like the MC,. She did host the newly wed game. divetrash Posted September 4, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 4, 2006 He is not on the Valor anymore. The CD on the Valor is a lady named Darcy Knievel(Or something like that). We just sailed on the Valor Aug 20-27th. Darcy is his assistant. Brett is on vacation. I believe he will be back on the Valor later this month or early next. I thought he was fine as a CD. But like others, I don't really pay that much attention to the CD. He had the same schtick as most others the same silly jokes. He does have a great radio voice. His magic show was kind of neat. Most of the tricks were pretty standard magic, most of which I've seen before. Enjoy the Valor. Laura

celticd1 Posted September 4, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 4, 2006 he's the only one that stuck in my memory. Thought he was a pretty good CD. Of course he told some of the same jokes/stories that vetran cruisers have all heard before. Didn't get to see the magic show, but heard it was good. Our group ran into him on one of the inside hallways as we went from cabin to cabin on our Cabin Crawl singing Happy Birthday to one and all (long story, but it was a hoot! :D ). He was nice enough to sign a birthday card for one of our group and joked around with us for a while. He was very genuine and approachable (didn't "seem" to notice we were all carrying smuggled booze and snacks ;) ). His asst. at the time was Jenn from England, they had a great rapport. I belive she is now a CD, but not sure what ship. BTW, he bears an uncanny resemblance to Clark Kent. :p

Tom-n-Cheryl Posted September 5, 2006 #14 Share Posted September 5, 2006 hmmmm... At any rate - have a great cruise. Brett is a nice fellow, and is retiring in July 2007, after 20 years with Carnival. Tom
