starq1 Posted September 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2006 I just emailed my TA with the possibility of having to change our sailing date. My DH is military and he may have to away at the time of our original planned dates. What should I expect if this does have to happen. I know our TA does not charge fees for switching but I am wondering if I can just switch our deposit and other monies paid to the new ressie or do they have to refund and then rebook? Any info would be helpful!

wrp96 Posted September 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2006 It all depends. Usually they can just reapply the money as long as you are rebooking at the same time you are cancelling. Be aware though that if you are within final payment period, you will have to pay a cancellation fee. Also, if the rates are different for your new sailing date you will have to pay the different rates. I hope it works out for you.
starq1 Posted September 5, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted September 5, 2006 We are pretty far out, 132 days to be exact, so I think we will be fine. The sailing that we are looking at is actaully cheaper then the original. However, it is only a five day and not a seven :( but that is the only time DH can go.
