KC Jays Posted September 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2006 How are the Mexican Riviera beaches? We are going on our 1st Mexican Riviera cruise on the Dawn in December. We are used to the Caribbean beaches and we like to snorkel.
margaritagal Posted September 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2006 We found the beaches on the Mexican Riviera a little different than the Caribbean. The water was a little rougher and a LOT colder!
barbarah33 Posted September 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2006 While some of them are very nice - especially in Cabo, my opinion is that the beaches are much better in the Caribbean. (Cleaner, nicer sand, better and clearer water, fewer people trying to sell you things, etc.) Never-the-less I’m sure you'll still have a wonderful cruise. envy4u Posted September 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Not as nice as indictated . We were on the Dawn in May . The water is not that beautiful blue colour either and the sand not as white and soft .
Baseball fan Posted September 5, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2006 I agree. If you are looking for beaches, the Caribbean is much better. You won't find the same fine sand and crystal clear water in the pacific. I went to Mazatlan many years ago. The beaches were similar to southern California but warmer (not as warm as the Caribbean). I wouldn't let this ruin the cruise. You can always find things to do.
