Ultimate Balcony Dining on Island?

SHIPMEOUT

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just wondering about the "Ultimate Balcony Dining" I've been hearing about.

Is it available on the Island Princess?

Do you have to be in a certain cabin category? (Obviously we are booked in a balcony - LOL:D ). I mean is it only for suites etc.?

Could someone tell me what the whole thing is like?

Thank you.

We are booked on the Caribbean Princess in March. My daughter is very nterested in the balcony dinner but we can find any information on it. Can anyone answer what's included in the dinner? I know the cost is $50.00 pp but we can't fine a "menu" for it.

Thanks to anyone who can provide any information on this.

ULTIMATE BALCONY DINING

Enjoy Ultimate Balcony Dining, featuring fresh lobster, delicious delicacies and private service, all on your own balcony. Treat yourself to this unparalleled level of luxury morning or night, available for an additional cost.

Note: Dining options, locations and venues may vary by ship, and actual meal times and charges are subject to change. Ultimate Balcony Dining available in select staterooms.

I am not sure if four people would be comfortable eating from such a small table though.

We have done the Ultimate Dining several times on the Diamond and grand and yes it is worth it. First of all,,,,you need to book it on ship,,call room service and tell them you want to book it. They will come to your room and explain it and show you the menu. It includes table set up (they bring a card table) a beautiful flower arrangement for the table,,,a photographer will take pictures which you can pick a photo (this is all included in the $100.00 per couple. We always have a mini suite and the balcony is a fairly good size,,it's possible 4 can eat togeather but it would be crowded. They start you off with a cocktail,,,then a salad then your main course,,,dessert and coffee if you wish. When they serve you ,,they bring in your meals and ask if you need anything else and then they leave,,,they come every 10 or 15 mins to see if theres anything you need. You can set the pace,,you just tell them. The quality and presentation of the food is 5*. Someone is usually outside your door at all times yet it seems very intimate. We love it and would highly recommend it especially for special occasions. A lovely memory maker.Susan
