Post Cruise - Southampton - Bath - Heathrow?

Is this possible? We will be arriving from a Grand Princess cruise in Southampton and we want to hire a car that will take us to Bath then onto our hotel at Heathrow for a flight back to the U.S. the following day. I've spoken with several people and about 1/2 have said it can be done but the other 1/2 say it is impossible. We are not opposed to taking the transfer from Southampton directly to Heathrow, but I don't believe that would leave us enough time to do Bath afterwards. Can anyone offer suggestions! Thanks

For enough money, anything is possible. But why Bath, specifically? It's a long way out of the way between Southampton and Heathrow. It's about 1½ hours and 65 miles from Southampton to Bath, and then another 1½ hours and 100 miles from Bath to Heathrow. If you want to do this by hiring a private car, it's likely to be going to cost you.

Maybe I don't have my facts correct. We've never been to London before and we're trying to do a lot in a short period of time. We'll be in London 5 days pre-cruise including the day of the cruise. We would really like to do Cotswold, Oxford & Bath but we don't want to spend more than 1 day away from London. That's why we thought a pre cruise trip to Cotswold, Oxford and Windsor and a post cruise trip to Bath then Heathrow would do the trick. If someone can provide us with better ideas, they would really be appreciated.

Thanks again

You are trying to do to much. A journey from Southampton to Bath and then on to Heathrow the next day is risky. I do not know what experience you have of UK roads but this is not an easy journey.

If you use a motorway the traffic will be travelling at 80MPH

While in London travel north to the University town of Cambridge thats full of history
