naperleigh Posted September 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2006 We will be ending a cruise on the Silversea Cloud at the Tower Bridge and need to get to Heathrow to return home. Can someone suggest the best way and if a we use a cab can you tell me the approximate cost, do they accept credit cards or do I need pounds? Thank you
pcur Posted September 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2006 We booked through londontown.com for our airport transfers. They give you a choice of several options, and we used Krest. We were very impressed with the drivers. They will pick you up anywhere in Central London in a private car and take you directly to Heathrow. The price is 17 - 30 GBP per person. Krest is 20 GBP. Click on the Airport Transfer link at the top of the home page.

pcur Posted September 9, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2006 I hope you're going to go inside and see the Tower of London. It's a whole complex of buildings, lots of great history, and the Crown Jewels are a serious must-see! Enjoy!

Keith1010 Posted September 24, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2006 We just arrived at the Lodon Tower bridge a week ago on the Seabourn Pride. What a treat to disembark that area. Give yourself plenty of time to get over to Heathrow, not only for the trip over there but to go through the airport security lines. We stayed in London for a few days, but have friends who went from the ship directly to Heathrow. They said traffic was bad and it took them about 90 minutes. They had expected 45 minutes.
