mistie7239 Posted September 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2006 Hello, I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could answer. The first one has been answered here before but I can't remember what the answer was and I can't seem to find it with the seach. But any how.... What do the different letters after the catogory mean, for example- 8a,8b ect. and is a the highest or lowest? Also if any one has stayed in room 6335 on the Victory I would really love to hear what you thought,or even better see some pics. Thanks in advance for any help!! LizaMM Posted September 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2006 Hello,I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone could answer. The letter after the category stands for the deck the cabin is on (except on Spirit Class ships which also have extended balconies on some decks so they have more than one letter per deck - but that is not the case on the Victory). an 8A will be a balcony located on the lowest deck of balcony cabins and then you go up from there. On the Victory sepcifically : 8A - Upper Deck/Deck 6 8B - Empress Deck/Deck 7 8C - Verandah Deck/Deck 8 8D - Lido Deck/Deck 9 8E - Panorama Deck/Deck 10 9A - Extended & Wrap Balconies located on 3 decks but ALL with the same letter The higher up on the ship you go (in every type of cabin) the more money it usually costs. This is kind of a misnomer as the cabins on the higher decks are the same size and provide the same service. Many people prefer to be lower on the ship while others prefer to be higher or hae other location preferences. Cabin 6335 on the Victory is midship on the Upper Deck (Deck 6). You will be above the Promenade and below other cabins. You will have easy access to elevators/stairs and being below a cabin deck means that you do not have to worry about noise above you from public areas.
