Coolcruise02 Posted September 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2006 Is there any difference and which do you recommend? I see that Palm (aft) opens at 5:30 and Coral at 6:00. Any other difference? Thanks
SC_Sam Posted September 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2006 Can't compare the two, because we only went to the Coral on our recent CB cruise. On other ships, we have visited the aft dining room and had a problem with the motion. As far as Coral as concerned, we love it. The Maitre D Marius is fantastic. He quickly learned our seating preferences and made sure we had a table for two each night. Service by Patricia and Agnes (and their assistants) was superb. tennisobo Posted September 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2006 We prefered the Palm. It was usually less crowded (maybe because it's a little more difficult to get to). You can get a table for two with a view of the wake. We did that several nights when we were on the CB and had a great wait staff team. Other nights we ate at different tables with other people. Sometimes the staff was good, other times not so much. We only tried the Coral once. Maybe we didn't give it enough chances. There's really very little difference between them except location. cabana Posted September 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 13, 2006 :) We liked the Palm also. A little hard to find after a few cocktails but well worth it. Both were nice .
cruzinchris Posted September 13, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2006 On two CB cruises, we always had dinner in the Palm. Less congested, as others have mentioned, but I do understand what SC_Sam means about the vibration. You can still visit the Coral for breakfast and/or lunch. Afternoon Tea and/or wine tastings were held in the Island on one or other of our CB cruises, so we actually got to enjoy all three main dining venues. Bon Voyage! josecruz Posted September 16, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 16, 2006 Go to the Coral Dining room and ask for Clara from Romania and tell her Scott and Kim said hello!! I would have too agree Clara from Romania was fantastic!! She took great care of our party of nine each night last month on the CB. We never tried the Palm or the specialty places. The primary reason the menu and the experience with our large party was fantastic every night. Have fun, JC
