Compare Aft or Forward suite on Dawn

After reading other threads, I am now convinced I need to try a suite.

People that have been in Dawn suites rave about them. The forward suites have such loud morning noises. How are aft suites? Size? Balcony? Noise? Butler?

Thanks for your input.

Aft suites are very quiet except for the sound of the wake:) I will not sail anything but aft. No wind, no noise. The balcony suites (Romance) on deck 10 have the largest balconies. As you go down decks they get "skinnier" but are just as long.

The size of the suites have different dimensions. You will have to go on the NCL website (or Shoreguy can cut and paste the sizes for you.)

Butler service is the same.

Enjoy

We love the aft suites as well. There is far less wind on the balconies, and on the DAWN and STAR there is this great smell of fresh baking bread in the afternoons. On the STAR and the DAWN the forward suites look down over crew hot tub/ pool area, and you have the bridge crew looking down on you.

I prefer forward as they are closer to where I like to be on the ship-pool, casino, spinnaker, stardust.

we had an AD one cruise and, yes, the suite and balcony were very nice-but I had a lot more walking-especially since our son's cabin was all the way forward on 11-I can't tell you how many times I went the wrong way and ended up going the entire distance of the ship to get around. The good thing was I probably burned more calories!

It is closer to the spa though-

Maybe it was better for your son that you were that far away:D :D

Aft is closer to Blue Lagoon, Kings pub, spa pool, shops, Venetian, lobby.......so I guess it all depends;)

Thank you for your input. Aft seems to have alot of things I like to do nearby.

I noticed that the Dawn doesn't go to Portland, Maine and my sister(who I would be going with me) hasn't beeen to Quebec City. How does the Dawn Suite experience compare to Celebrity Constellation suite experience? Celebrity offers both Portland, Maine and Quebec City.

My sister did an upsell to a suite on HAL Amsterdam and enjoyed the extra service, so I am anxious to try it. A full breakfast delivered to the suite sounds wonderful.

Explorer of the Seas RCCL also offers Portland, Maine. That is a priority port for us. We have been to Boston, Newport, RI, Bar Harbor, St. John's, Halifax.

Which is the best suite experience? Dawn? Explorer of the Seas? Constellation?

I am booking for Sept, 2007. TA says these special price promotions end today. Veendam's suites are already sold out!

Thanks for your help.
