IKON Posted September 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2006 We just checked with our travel agent and the oceanview cabins are now cheaper than the inside we have booked so we are going to change. Which side is it that you can see the ports from you cabin window? Thanks!

caribbean dreams Posted September 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2006 Are you going on the eastern or western Caribbean itenerary??
Caribbean Dad Posted September 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2006 Both/neither......it all depends. As far as seeing the scenery coming into port, the Starboard/Right hand side would be a safe bet for an eastern route. But as far as when the ship is docked....that all depends on which direction they decide to dock and which side of the pier that they use. Bow towards land/left side of pier: Starboard Aft towards land/left side of pier: Port Bow towards land/right side of pier: Port Aft towards land/right side of pier: Starboard
tigermaroon2 Posted September 15, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2006 If you're going on the western one, (forgive me professional cruisers), if you are on the ship facing forward you'll want the left side. That will be the side facing Roatan & Costa Maya. Grand Cayman and Belize but the view from the left side was better for GC. Belize there's not much view because it's pretty far offshore. Now, with that said, they can probably change which specific part of the pier they dock at....but last week that was the side that would give you the view...on the Western route.
