clumsi Posted September 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2006 Hi, My boyfriend and I looking to book the Rum Point tour with Nativeway and we want to bring along our digital SLR camera with us to take pictures. Would it be safe to leave it on the boat while snokeling with the stingrays or is it better to get a waterproof disposable camera? Thanks! clumsi
DukeFamily Posted September 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2006 Well, a disposable for sure to actually take into the water with you. You'll want to in order to get good up close pics of you two holding the rays and underwater pics. Your digital will be safe on board the boat I'd say. No one except the 20 or so others in your tour group will have any access to the boat, and if I recall, one of the tour operators is always on board. I wouldn't worry about it. So I say, take both. johnlcruise Posted September 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 16, 2006 Yes take both. A water camera for the Rays is a must. Have fun. Nativeway was great with our group. :)

finoky Posted September 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2006 We have used them twice before. Both times everyone in our group left their digital cameras onboard with no problems at all. They are great. Have a good time!

Cruisekrazy63 Posted September 18, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 18, 2006 I've used Nativeways a couple of times and the groups on the boat are alot smaller than most boats that cram people in and yes, your camera will be safe with them. You aren't far from the boat anyway but Nativeways is the best as far as i'm concerned. Have a great time.
finoky Posted September 20, 2006 #8 Share Posted September 20, 2006 Also they had this girl onboard that had an awesome underwater digital. She took pictures throughout that of course you could purchase. You pay right there on the boat and she mails them to you on CD. They arrived to us about a week or so after we returned and they turned out great.
