CPCruiser4Life Posted September 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2006 Would it be too much ask for a Deli sandwich made with Prosciutto in the dining room for a main course for lunch. I know they offer it throughout the week, but is this too much to ask? Another bizarre question by me. Thanks for not flaming. :)
SoFloDeb Posted September 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2006 I have found that if you ask the Maitre 'd the day before, they will usually respond positively to your request. We have requested steak and eggs the evening before and when arriving in the dining room, we gave them our sign and sail card and they had our breakfast served quickly. Years ago on the Sky Princess we ordered Genoa salami and mozzarella omelets which were not on the menu and this was no problem at all. However, those were different times... Steak and eggs was standard on the menu. We'll be sailing four weeks from today on the CB. Hope this helps.
DanBoy Posted September 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2006 I could go for some left on top of my pillow at turn down time instead of chocolate!
prettypixie Posted September 19, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2006 It's worth a shot - their prosciutto is the best I've ever had! Wish i'd have thought to request it daily!
Pam in CA Posted September 19, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2006 As Deb says, ask the Maitre D. You can request almost anything as long as they have enough lead time. I love pre-requesting eggs Benedict in the dining room for breakfast the night before and having it served to me followed by jealous looks from others wondering how I did that. On our Island Princess cruise last April, our table requested short ribs for dinner for everyone at the table one night. The next night, we had our short ribs.
