Royal Caribbean Cruise Air Question

Recommended Posts

We usually book our airfare independently of the cruise line. We were obligated to book RCI cruise air on our November 18 cruise due to our travel companions. Please don't preach to us about booking through the cruise line, OK?

Our question: For those who have used RCI Air travel, how soon can we expect the flightitinerary, flight numbers, etc. to be available after final payment is made? What has been your experience? Did you find that you were not seated with your cruising companion(s)??

Thanks for the tips and your actual experience.

Royal Caribbean releases their flight info 60 days prior to your cruise. At that point you or your TA will need to contact the airline or airlines involved to request your seats.

We booked w/ RC and did custom air by phone. The agent was terrific and actually asked which airline I wanted to use and what time I wanted to fly since they had several choices. I then contacted the airline and requested specific seat assignments...I had the plane config and available seats on my computer while I placed the call. Make sure to get the airline confirmation #(s). Got exactly what I wanted. This was all done 11 weeks before the trip. This was all done before final payment was due and I rec'd an email from RC confirming flight info before final payment also. Every week I would dbl check my reservation & requested seats thru the airline website. 8 weeks prior to departure write to ConfirmMyFlight@RCCL.com to lock in your reservation & itinerary. Remember to give the your Booking ID and names of the passengers. I'm waiting for my return confirmation now. I hope everything turns out well. Good Luck.
