Caribbean Princess Review 9/9/06 - 9/16/06

My DH put up a website for our friends and family while onboard the CB last week - I'd thought I'd post a link and share with my fellow cruise critic members!

We had a wonderful week onboard the Caribbean Princess! What a beautiful ship and great staff! I wish I was still onboard! Here's the link!

The rest of the log, more pictures (food gallery), and video (we did a dance heads video, a duet with Callypso William in Jamaica, and HideAway Beach Speedboat tour) will be uploaded soon!

So, check back often! I'll be scanning the Patters and posting those as well as my own mini review and thoughts on the Personal Choice Dining!

Loved hearing about your cruise! We are going on the CB in February...can't wait! We have enjoyed the western Carribean, and are now going to try the eastern. Saw that you are from Landis....we are in Salisbury, near City Park. (It's a small world...)

Wow! That's crazy! I haven't met many folks from our neck of the woods! :D

Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow, I have to say that this is the best review I have ever read, along with the best pictures I have ever seen. Great viewpoint in some. I have only been on one cruise this past August on Carnival and we had seen the Caribbean princess docked beside us and wanted to look into a cruise on her. I have to admit that I haven't been hearing too many great things, but because of your review and the awesome pictures, I don't see how I can sail on anything else. I am definitley looking into this ship and itinerary. Thanks so much and I am awaiting more news!

Awesome website! Thanks for the wonderful review thus far ! The ship looks gorgeous. I noticed you stayed on the Riviera deck. Have a few questions if you dont mind...

How was your room on the riviera deck? hear scraping chairs? Noise a problem? Hear laundry machines? overall opinion of the room!

thanks in advance

The room R510 was very nice. Clean. Carpet in good condition. Nothing was worn out or stained. No smoke smell in the room. Linens were fresh.

The balcony (although not huge) was comfortable. You could see the extending cabins below and your neighbors on either side if you leaned on the rail. The laundry room (which DH used daily to iron) was a short walk (as was the elevators) but we never heard any noise from them.

You could hear noise from the deck above i.e., dragging chairs, MUTS sub woofer noise, general chatter from passangers, announcements. Was it a big deal to us? No, not really. Would I book this cabin again? Yes, probably.

Hope this was helpful...check back for updates on the website with more info!:D

MessyJessy~Thanks for the info and your website. That is so cool that you did that. One of you must be a graphic designer.

We will be sailing on the CB on Oct 14th and can't wait! This will be our 2nd time on the CB, but I can't remember some things. Do you know if there is a charge for the dance class and do you know how you get selected for the Not So Newelywed game? Does anyone know?

Thanks again for the info! :)

My husband does web design/graphic design as well as audio/video production. He's very talented!

No charge for the dance class - we watched how to Merengue...DH is not a dancer! LOL!

To be selected for the Newlywed game, turn in a form 15 minutes before the show starts, participants are "randomly" selected...

One couple from England were chosen and the Husband didn't even know the wife had entered! It was HILARIOUS!!!

I loved Caribbean Princess! Just a beautiful ship and in such great condition. We sailed on another ship a few years after she was launched and ended up being greatly disapointed with the amount of "wear and tear" in a lot of the Public areas. This ship was gorgeous!

My parents and their friends will be sailing her this Saturday. After looking at our pictures, they are bouncing off the walls! :D

I would really reccomend this ship - they usually have promotions going on - we ended up with $200 onboard credit for our sailing and the rents got $250! There are plenty of deals out there!

Happy Sailing!
