yotafan Posted September 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2006 Do they have all inclusive cruises, that include alcohal? My uncle said that he took one roughly 10-15 years ago and cannot remember what cruise line. Thank you
wrp96 Posted September 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2006 Some of the more upscale cruiselines are all inclusive.
Ann25 Posted September 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2006 The cruiseline you are looking for is Regent (formerly Raddisson). They include alchol. Crusin 06 Ann25

cb at sea Posted September 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2006 There are some--but they are a bit more "upscale" and costly! If you're a big drinker, then it's probably worth it--but if you only drink, say, 5 drinks a day between 2 people, then you're better off paying as you go! On the upside, the food will be much better on these more expensive cruises. The downside is they are a little more "reserved" and formal than the mainstream cruise lines! ncdazz Posted September 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted September 21, 2006 CB, so what ur saying is that with the inclusive deal you might get trashed :D , but the other shipmates aren't wild party animals like us:rolleyes: ? LOL
cruisePRN Posted September 21, 2006 #7 Share Posted September 21, 2006 we did the xpedition last year and it is a casual ship, no dressing up at all. there are naturalists that take you out twice a day on zodiacs (all included). it was the best trip I've ever taken. fanofseas Posted September 22, 2006 #9 Share Posted September 22, 2006 I took a 2 day cruise to nowhere with Carnival back in Oct of 2001 and the alcohol was included then.
iluvcruzin Posted September 22, 2006 #10 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Silverseas does now. 10-15 years ago, you could purchase drink packages on Carnival and RCCL for a flat fee for the week. It's been so long I forget what the exact price was but something like $250 for the week. It was like buying a softdrink pass. This was prior to the drink coupons they had. zqvol Posted September 22, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 22, 2006 Seadream is truly all inclusive and very casual. No formal nights, and exquisite service. Of course it runs between $350 - $500 pp per day. Once you have been on Seadream anything else is a let down.
DeepWaterMariner Posted September 23, 2006 #12 Share Posted September 23, 2006 Seabourn includes drinks but the cruise price is significantly more than on a mainstream cruise line, unless you normally book suites. The higher prices buy more than just drinks and wine with dinner. There is an exceptionally high crew to passenger ratio and truely exceptional food. Welshman & Yorkshire l Posted September 23, 2006 #13 Share Posted September 23, 2006 We are booked on the Navigator in November and our TA did a group booking that includes all drinks ! when I called RCI I was told that includes some premium brands and I should call about 2 weeks before departure to get the latest info. BTSEN5 Posted September 28, 2006 #14 Share Posted September 28, 2006 I took a 2 day cruise to nowhere with Carnival back in Oct of 2001 and the alcohol was included then. I also went on that cruise. I think I got to go on one more all inclusive one before they decided to charge for drinks. What a bummer. I guess it was all those people throwing up in the bathrooms that stopped that.

I was probably with you on this one out of Norfolk- after waiting for hours to get on the ship we were all ready for a drink- then another- then another....... It was definitely a great weekend- I heard Carnival still does the 2 day CTNW, but they do not offer the open bar.:(

It was definitely a great weekend- I heard Carnival still does the 2 day CTNW, but they do not offer the open bar.:( Yes, Carnival still offers that out of Norfolk, but we found out, after 2 or 3 all inclusive, that they do not do that anymore. We were slightly upset, because no one told us that until we were getting everything in order to get on the ship. After a long line, and mouths watering for those drinks, we were not too happy that they changed it. Funny thing is that the price did not go down....I believe it had actually gone up. Did you go out of Norfolk when you went? I think they are going to make it a better port for cruise ships. I am hoping, because I hate to fly. I would love to just have to drive 15 minutes to the ship.
